WHO IS SAUDIA FURCRON?

So she calls herself creative, but why?

I guess because I dont believe in telling lies (insert laugh here). When I was about 15 I had my mind set on becoming an OBGYN, because in my mind I loved children, what a joke. The first time I came across web and graphic design was on the website BlackPlanet.com, I loved looking at the way people "decorated" their profiles. I wanted to learn how to do it. I asked around and did the ever so popular "view source" in my browser. That was the first time I ever played around with code. I downloaded my first raster program as well, Ulead PhotoImpact XL. Its funny now that I look back on how far I have come, and when I found out that I could get paid for doing something that I had wanted to do for free, that was a plus. I think that whenever you choose a career, you should first want to do all you can for free, the pay comes later. You gain the most experience with family and friends.

A life of confustion...

My first go round in college I decided to major in Fine Art with a minor in Digital Media, long story short, that didnt work out so well. My first failure. My second attempt, after I moved back to Arizona, was Makeup Artistry. Second Failure. Finally I took some time off to figure out what it was I wanted to do with my life, graphic design kept finding ways to enter my life. So I researched for months, and decided to give it a try. And here I am today 3 schools, 4 career choices, and many many dollars later. A content visual communications GRADUATE. I guess third time really is the charm.

If you dont get anything out of my autobiography or experiences just know this, failure is the foundation of success, so fail as many times as you can until you get it right. Believe me you will find your niche, take the advice of a sucessful failure. (inspired by Russ Hann of AfterHours Design).
